BMV outlines seventh consecutive fall; accumulates a loss of almost 5%


The Mexican stock exchange (BMV) yields again in the first negotiations this Thursday. The local stock market falls, contrary to the performance of wall streetafter disappointing quarterly results from some of the main issuers in the Mexican market that put pressure on the shares.

The index reference S&P/BMV IPC, which groups the 35 most traded shares in Mexico, also with capitalization criteria, loses -0.84% ​​and stands at 51,911.40 units. With a streak of seven falls, from 54,633.76 units, the leading index accumulates a loss of 2,722.36 units or 4.98 percent.

Within the reference index, most of the components lose ground, with 24 of their values ​​in red and 11 in green. The telecommunications giant América Móvil falls -3.93%; followed by Grupo México, with -2.67 percent. The Walmex retailer, also with a high weight in the index, fell -1.84 percent.
