BMV backs down slightly, but is outlining to close 2021 as its best year since 2009

The Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) showed slight changes on Friday, but it was shaping up to end the year with a strong accumulated profit, in the first negotiations of a day that was anticipated volatile due to position adjustments and low volume for the period end of the year vacation.

The benchmark stock index S & P / BMV IPC traded at 53,171.56 points, with a marginal decrease of 0.01%, after having reached at the beginning of the week a maximum intraday historical level of 53,630.53 units.

In all of 2021, the stock market added a return of 20.7%, its best performance since 2009, thanks to the impulse of the stimulus measures implemented in several main economies and the advance of global vaccination that allowed the reopening of productive activities.
