BMV and Biva start the week in negative terrain; Alpha back 6%

The Mexican stock exchange (BMV) operates with losses this Monday. The local stock market falls for the third consecutive session in a market that continues to pay attention to the news about the situation in Ukrainewhile awaiting the monetary policy meeting of the Federal Reserve American this week.

The index reference S&P/BMV IPC, made up of the shares of the 35 issuers with the highest value by capitalization and liquidity in the Mexican market, lost -0.27% to the level of 53,156.64 units. The index FTSE BIVAthe principal of the Institutional Stock Exchange (Biva), loses -0.29% to 1,095.23 points.


Within the benchmark index, most components trade at a loss, with 19 stocks in red and 16 in green. The worst performances so far this session are the actions of Alfa, with -6.07%; Mexico Group, with -3.60%; Peñoles, with -3.25%, and Liverpool, which loses -2.41 percent.
