BMV and Biva outline fourth day with losses after a volatile opening

The Mexican stock exchange (BMV) retreats in its first operations on Thursday. The local stock market yields and outlines its fourth consecutive loss, after a volatile session start pending information on monetary policy, in the minutes of the most recent meeting of the Bank of Mexico.

The index reference S&P/BMV IPC, made up of the shares of the 35 issuers with the highest value by capitalization in the country and the most traded in the local market, fell -0.17% to a level of 55,347.02 points. The FTSE BIVAof the Institutional Stock Market (Biva), falls -0.11% to the level of 1,144.21 points.


Within the reference index, most of the components operate at a loss, with 26 values ​​in red and nine in green. The worst performances are those of Grupo Carso shares, with -1.89%; Genomma Lab, with -1.60%; FEMSA, with -1.26%, and the airport firm OMA, which lost -1.21 percent.
