During an event at the Windsor Club, Windsor-based publishing company Black Moss Press showcased There Will Be Fish, a collection of poetry by local lawyer Peter Hrastovec, and Lucien and Olivia, a novel by Andre Narbonne, an English and creative writing professor at the University of Windsor.

Inspired by the lives of fish, Hrastovec’s latest poetry book details his letting go of the past, holding onto the present, and flowing towards the future.

Narbonne’s second novel, set in the 1980s, follows Lucien, a marine engineer on a Canadian tanker who meets philosophy student Olivia while on leave in Halifax. What begins as mutual apathy evolves until Lucien must return to the sea.

Hrastovec is the author of two other books of poetry, In Lieu of Flowers and Sidelines, and contributed to the writing project Because We All Lived Here. Narbonne’s first novel, Twelve Miles to Midnight, was published by Black Moss Press in 2016.
