Biden enacts law that bans importing Xinjiang-made products into the U.S.

President Joe Biden on Thursday promulgated a law that prohibits the entry into the United States of a wide range of products manufactured in the Chinese province of Xinjiang, facing accusations that forced labor is imposed on the Uighur minority there.

The rule prohibits importing products wholly or partially manufactured in Xinjiang, unless customs officials are shown that they are not the result of forced labor.
