April is books and roses. And it is also rain, thunder, hail, wind and sun. None of these atmospheric phenomena ruined yesterday in Barcelona the coming out party de Abril, the literary supplement of Prensa Ibérica, in the clandestine Speakeasy of the Dry Martini.
Since 2002, the Sant Jordi del Dry Martini event, with a password included, has brought together writers, editors and staff from all the press offices of the different publishers. A party always designed to relax and discuss the incidents of the day with a drink served in the historic cocktail bar of Javier de las Muelas.
The password becomes the most searched phrase of the day. These are the words that give access to this island of sustained peace, after the signatures, because the success of the event filled the venue, now that the restrictions of recent years have been overcome. The passphrase can now be made public. It was “Eternal April», in homage to the supplement that was presented and with the intention of filling April the whole year.
More than 250 people distributed in the different spaces commenting on the move that, without underestimating literature and the anecdotes with the readers, it can be said that it materialized in the adventures with the rain, the great protagonist of the bookstore dyad. Among the attendees from the world of culture were carme rivera, Guillem Cluá, Patricia Jacks, Jordi Garces, loquillo, Javier Fences, Lydia Heredia, Oscar Tusquets, Santi Moix, Martha Buchaca, Santi Villa, Patrici Tixis, Daniel Fernandez, White Pink Rock, Jose Sanclemente, Manuel Esteller, Salvador Massip, pillar eyre, Joan Francesc Marco, Maria Borras, Jordi Soler, Ferran Mascarell, Javier Fernandez Miranda, Eugeni Verdu, Vicens Marquis Y Carlos Zanonamong others.
