Third dose in Italy and UK
The UK has launched its campaign for the third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. People in nursing homes, or aged over 50, people with co-morbidities and caregivers are among the priority groups.
Also in Italy, a third injection for the most fragile is now recommended. With the expansion of the health pass to all employees, demand for vaccine has jumped in the country, between 20 and 40% more than the previous week.
France: towards an extension of the health pass
A bill to extend the health pass beyond November 15 “is being prepared and will be presented on October 13 in the Council of Ministers,” Prime Minister Jean Castex’s entourage told AFP on Monday.

The Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine against Covid-19 is “safe” and “well tolerated” by children aged 5 to 11 and the right dosage triggers a “robust” immune response, according to the results of a study announced Monday by the laboratories.
The two companies plan to submit the data to authorities “as soon as possible,” according to a statement, which said the immune response was “comparable” to that seen in 16 to 25 year olds who received a higher dose vaccine.
