Banco del Bienestar cancels administrative contract

The general director of the Banco del Bienestar, Víctor Lamoyi, reported that on January 14, it was decided to cancel the multi-year contract for administrative services for the processing of banking operations and transactions for an amount of 18.313 million pesos, which was in October 2021 formalized.

In a brief press conference, within the framework of a working tour through the states of Mexico and Morelos, the official explained that the contract was formalized in October 2021, but on December 21 of the same year it was decided to start the revocation procedure, accordingly. the regulations on acquisitions.

That contract was questioned at the time.

“On 14 January 2022, the formal termination of the contract was resolved and the bank notified the decision to the National Banking and Security Commission (CNBV)”.

He stressed that the priorities of this development bank are: to implement the new branches and accelerate the institution’s expansion process, in addition to incorporating the population that still does not have banking services into the financial system; to manage the bank’s assets responsibly, and to conduct management in accordance with the Republican austerity law.

During his visit to municipalities in the states of Mexico and Morelos, Lamoyi verified the correct operation of all the systems, including the ATMs of the branches that already serve the population in their testing stage, before the inauguration.

At the event, he was accompanied by Jessica Solano, Head of Social Banking, and Adrián Simón, Head of the Priority Works Coordination Center of the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena).
