Ayuso offers the option of closing a single list with Almeida and Casado disdains her

The president of the Community, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, continues to demand day yes, day also that this internal process be carried out as soon as possible to prepare the municipal elections of May 2023. In an interview on ‘Ok Diario’, Ayuso is asked if she would include Almeida on her list to lead the party in the region and she answers affirmatively. The question about the mayor is due to the fact that Almeida appears as a possible competitor of the Madrid leader in the primaries. He has not clarified what he will do, allowing Pablo Casado’s leadership to defend the supposed benefits of the “third way”: that is, for a third person to take the reins of the formation so that Ayuso and Almeida can become president and the mayor’s office, respectively.

“The board of directors has set deadlines and they will be met. From there, whoever wants to be presented to the congress will be able to present themselves to the congress. And whoever wins will have the closed support of the national leadership,” Pablo Montesinos, the deputy secretary of Communication from the party that has offered a press conference this afternoon in Genoa.

Montesinos did not want to comment on the possibility of closing the internal struggle on behalf of the Madrid PP even though the congress is held at the end of the first half of 2022, as decided by a national board of directors.
