Arrest made in Lindsay William Street convenience store robbery in early October: Police – Peterborough | The Canadian News

Lindsay, Ontario police say an arrest was made following a convenience store robbery earlier this month.

According to the Kawartha Lakes City Police Service, on October 9, a suspect entered a store on William Street North and demanded cash from the clerk.

Police say a fight broke out between the suspect and the clerk until a customer entered the store and intervened. The suspect was briefly detained but managed to flee after another fight, police said.

A suspect was identified.

On Wednesday, police said the suspect was located and arrested.

Colin Martin, 29, of Lindsay, was charged with robbery.

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on November 18.
