Arca Continental invests 216 million pesos in a Distribution Center in Monclova, Coahuila

Monterrey, NL. Continental Ark, one of the bottlers of Coca Cola most important in the world, inaugurated this Friday, October 29, a new Distribution Center, which will serve more than 5,400 customers and consumers in the municipalities of Monclova, Chestnut trees and Frontera, Coahuila, thanks to an investment of 216 million pesos.

The inauguration was presided over by the Governor of Coahuila, Miguel Angel Riquelme Solís, accompanied by the mayor of Monclova, Alfredo Paredes López, and other state local authorities, and were received by the president of the Board of Directors of Continental Ark, Jorge Humberto Santos Reyna; the general director of the company, Arturo Gutiérrez, and the director of Arca Continental Mexico, Enrique Pérez Barba.

In the new facilities of 5.2 hectares of surface and 10,660 m2 of construction, where 7,000 pallets of merchandise can be stored, 97 tons of product in refrigeration and 340 employees will operate that will serve more 5,400 clients both in modern channel and shopkeepers, a Mexico’s economic engine and of Mexican families.

During the event and the tour, it was highlighted that this new center of distribution replaces the one that for 60 years served this area of ​​the country, setting a precedent for private industry in the region and its commitment to the development of Coahuila and its inhabitants, with whom a community has been built around this facility.

The governor highlighted the social commitment that has historically been manifested Continental Ark to favor the integral development of the communities in which it operates.

For his part, Arturo Gutiérrez, general director of the company, thanked and congratulated the collaborators for this new work center, and recognized the community of Monclova for their hospitality and willingness to make joint efforts on behalf of society.

Likewise, the new facilities are consistent with the sustainability principles of Continental Ark, through efficient use of water and energy with technologies such as a rainwater harvesting system, a treatment plant, and an ecological LED lighting system, among other characteristics.
