Aragonès will meet next Wednesday with Puigdemont in Brussels

The President of the Generalitat, Pere Aragoneswill travel next May 18 and 19 to Brussels (Belgium), where he will meet with the former president and MEP, Carles Puigdemontas well as with other MEPs from Junts, PSC, ERC and En Comú Podem.

As reported by the Generalitat, the institutional trip of Aragonès in the Belgian capital will begin on Wednesday 18, at 6:30 p.m., with a meeting with Puigdemont, currently a Junts MEP -party of which he is still president until next month’s congress- and president of the so-called Council for the Republic.

In that meeting, according to sources from the Catalan government, various issues will be addressed, among which will most likely be the case of political espionage to independence through the Pegasus cyber espionage system.

On Thursday 19, the activity of the ‘president’ will focus on holding various meetings with MEPs from different parties (Junts, ERC, PSC and En Comú Podem) to discuss “the great consensuses of the country”, as he already announced he would do at the conference last March, coinciding with the first anniversary of the last Catalan elections, after which Aragonès was invested as president.
