The head of the Catalan Executive will participate in this multilateral event, for the first time in person

The regional presidents, with the exception of the Catalan, have been arriving from 9.00 (local time) to this square where they will meet later. Once the King and the Chief Executive have arrived, all the authorities have taken a family photo in this square.

Measures proposed by the Government
The Government will address in this Conference of Presidents different points related to the crisis caused by the war in Ukraine, such as raising awareness among all citizens “about the importance” of the energy savingthrough measures such as “the incentive of a more rational use of private vehicles or a moderation of the use of energy dedicated to air conditioning”.

Likewise, the Government speaks of working in coordination with all the Administrations to “strengthen and accelerate” investments in critical technologies such as semiconductorsstorage, essential minerals, batteries, 5G, Artificial Intelligence, data centers and active ingredients of essential medicines, with the aim, according to the draft, of increasing strategic autonomy.
Moreover, to this end, the Executive will promote, in line with the provisions of the National Security Strategy, the creation of a reserve of goods considered strategic to “preserve the rights and freedoms, the well-being of citizens, the supply of essential services and essential and strategic resources”.
