Anti-pass protesters mobilize for the 9th consecutive Saturday

From September 15, caregivers will no longer be able to exercise if they are not vaccinated. Some joined the ninth Saturday of mobilization against the health pass.

A motley coalition of anti-ax, close to “yellow vests”, far-right activists or, more generally, political opponents of the government.

The Interior Ministry had counted 140,000 demonstrators last Saturday, 165,000 the previous week and 175,000 seven days earlier. This Saturday, 121,000 anti-health pass demonstrators marched across France.

A few incidents were reported in Paris at midday around the Champs-Elysées, where the police fired tear gas canisters to deny access to demonstrators. Several people were arrested, according to a police source.

These demonstrations come the day after the indictment for “endangering the life of others” of the former Minister of Health Agnès Buzyn, as part of the investigation opened by the Court of Justice of the Republic ( CJR) on government management of the Covid-19 epidemic.

More than 73% of French people have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
