A 33-year-old man was injured Tuesday afternoon in a new shooting that broke out in broad daylight, in the middle of a residential area of Laval.
This time, numerous shots were fired from a moving vehicle towards the victim, who was presumably on the public road.
The event took place shortly after 1 p.m. on rue Beauregard, near the intersection of boulevard le Carrefour, in the Chomedey district.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim shot in the foot by a gunshot wound.
The man was taken to hospital, but there is no fear for his life.
As for the suspects, they fled and had not been found by mid-afternoon.
A security perimeter was erected to protect the crime scene. Laval police investigators were expected at the scene during the afternoon to try to understand the circumstances of this attempted murder.
This new event of gun violence comes just 24 hours after another shooting took place on Monday afternoon, two miles away.
More than a dozen shots were fired at three young people on the grounds of a low-rent housing complex. At least one of those targeted was a 15-year-old boy.
Fortunately, no one had been injured.
