Andy Murray’s wife, Kim, shared her support for Dame Deborah James as she watched the first day of Wimbledon, wearing one of the star’s charity shirts.

Kim watched from the stands as her husband Andy took on James Duckworth, with the star donning a ‘Rebellious Hope’ t-shirt as he looked on.

Sitting next to her mother-in-law Judy Murray, whom she greeted with a hug, Kim, 34, paired the T-shirt with jeans and bracelets, showing off her wavy hair loose.

Dame Deborah, also known as Bowelbabe, is currently receiving end-of-life care amid her battle with bowel cancer and launched her ‘Rebellious Hope’ t-shirts in May.

He partnered with In The Style for the line, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Bowelbabe fund for Cancer Research UK. Earlier this month, he revealed that the collection has raised over £1million for the fund.

Dame Deborah wrote on Instagram: ‘WOW! ONE MILLION POUNDS. Honestly so overwhelmed that through @inthestyle we raised over £1,000,000 for the @bowelbabefund for @cr_uk.

‘All from the sales of the ITS x Dame Deborah James collection and the ‘Rebellious Hope’ t-shirts I designed with @inthestyle. (A million, that’s crazy).’

He added: “I had a lovely little visit yesterday from @inthestyle founder @fr15by and his partner @thejamiecorbett who brought this beautiful check and we had a little toast to celebrate.”

Reflecting on his initial target of £50,000, he continued: ‘I can’t believe it! The funny thing is when @inthestyle launched the first t-shirt we both said how amazing £50,000 raised would be, so for me to still be here and see it’s over £1m is amazing!

‘Rebellious Hope is what has gotten me through the last few years and is what keeps me going now. Seeing all of your messages, tags, and support has been the best and I’m so thankful that we were able to do this together! Thank you all.’

His ‘rebellious hope’ t-shirt was the first part of the clothing collection available, released in May in a variety of colours.

The shirts retail for £15-18, with 100% of the profits (minimum £7.08 per shirt purchased) going to their fund.

The Bowelbabe Fund, which has raised over £6m, is raising money for areas of cancer research that Dame Deborah is particularly passionate about, with the description explaining that it will “fund clinical trials and research into personalized medicine for cancer patients and support campaigns to raise awareness on bowel cancer.’

Dame Deborah, 40, has been keeping fans up to date on her activities while receiving end-of-life care, which included a secret visit to the Chelsea Flower Show to see the rose that bears her name and a trip to the opera.

She has also arrived at Royal Ascot, after previously expressing surprise that she is still alive, and has shared plans for her book to be published later this year.
