The green and black dress, and a heart-shaped Moschino bag that the Grammy Award winner was frequently photographed with, are expected to fetch between $ 15,000 and $ 20,000 each.

The dresses are on display during Julien's Auctions “Property of Amy Winehouse's Life and Career” New York public and press showing by Julien's Auctions in New York City on Monday, October 11, 2021.

Winehouse’s parents had decided it was the right time to put aside their personal and professional items, said Martin Nolan, CEO of Julien’s Auctions. The singer died of alcohol intoxication at the age of 27 in July 2011. Her last concert was in Belgrade a month earlier.

“It has been a cathartic experience for them, but also a very emotional roller coaster for parents giving up their daughter’s possessions,” Nolan said.

“But they know that these items were going to go to fans, collectors, museums and investors around the world who will continue to appreciate, enjoy and display them.”

The family wants to make sure all its fans have a chance to buy something, said Nolan, who has worked for two years to organize the sale.

Most of Winehouse’s dresses are conservatively priced at $ 2,000 to $ 4,000. Initial offers for belts, perfumes, shoes, ballet flats, guitars, and drum kits start from $ 50- $ 100.

Winehouse became a leading artist around the world with her unique looks, headline-grabbing demeanor, and jazz-infused music. He released two studio albums, “Frank” and “Back to Black.”

He often talked about fighting addiction to alcohol and drugs.

Part of the proceeds will fund the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which aims to “inspire children and youth to develop their self-esteem and resilience, so they can thrive.”

The sale will take place in Beverly Hills from November 6-7 in person and online.
