AMLO applauds Q4 dialogue with the PAN and calls on the PRI to join

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador He expressed his wish that the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), as the PAN has already done, decide to dialogue with his government in the search for agreements.

“Hopefully the PRI will do the same,” he said during his usual morning conference from the National Palace.

To a specific question about the negotiations initiated by the PAN national leadership with Adán Augusto López Hernández, Secretary of the Interior, on seven issues, including security and the economy, the head of the Executive replied that the dialogue is good and recognized the decision of the PAN to depose his “extremist attitude of rejecting everything” in the Congress of the Union; “They got into a very negative situation.”

“We are going to wait for the results of the dialogue” started, he said. AMLOOn the delay of three years to sit down to talk with the opposition, he replied that “it is worth later than never.”

“How good that they raised the dialogue and that they know why the government is acting, that they have more elements and that they act thinking about the general interest, what they represent, not the partisan interest,” he commented in relation to the benefit that in His opinion will result in the PAN members knowing the content of the pending initiatives promoted by him, including the electricity reform.

“So, it is a very good thing to have a dialogue. There are initiatives that we are promoting and we want to know why the constitutional reform in electricity matters is necessary, what it consists of; that it be debated more, that it be known more, that there is no closure and if they consider that it is contrary to the national interest then, with elements they can say ‘we are opposed’, ” he completed.
