AMLO announces that dialogues with electric self-supply companies are about to start


President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador He said this Wednesday that talks are about to start between officials and energy self-supply companies, affected by the reform of the electricity sector promoted by his government.

The companies are some of those affected by a decision of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation that this month endorsed changes to the Electricity Industry Law, included in a project approved last year in Congress and promoted by the ruling party Morena, to give greater control to the State over the sector.

In his usual morning conference, the president said that in the next few hours the companies will be summoned to the talks, led by the Secretaries of the Interior, Adam Augusto Lopez Hernandezand Energy, Dew Nahleand the head of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), Manuel Bartlett.
