AMLO and Guanajuato authorities analyze the entity’s water supply plan

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has appointed the Governor of the National Palace of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, and mayors of the state, with whom he addressed security issues and a water project for the entity.

After the meeting, the president posted a photo on his social networks, while the governor of Guanajuato welcomes the opening and willingness of the President of the Republic to support the project that provides water to almost the entire entity of Guanajuato.

We are satisfied with this working meeting, we are progressing fast; “There is a great attitude on the part of the president to support this project to supply water to Guanajuato,” said the Guanajuato governor.

He pointed out that “since the Zapotillo project has been canceled; We are working on a plan that will not only be for León, but will benefit almost the entire state. ”

Also present at the meeting was the Secretary of the Interior, Adán Augusto López Hernández; and the director of Conagua, Germán Martínez Santoyo.

Diego Sinhue reiterated that this new project will primarily supply water to the cities of the Guanajuato Industrial Corridor, therefore this meeting also included the participation of the Mayors of Celaya, Javier Mendoza Márquez; Silao, Carlos Garcia; Salamanca, Cesar Prieto; and the mayors of Irapuato, Lorena Alfaro, and León, Alejandra Gutiérrez Campos.



Rodríguez Vallejo noted that several details about this project have yet to be refined, and “until a little more is specified, the corresponding announcements will be made.”

“The commitment we are making is to increase the efficiency of water use,” said the state president, who was also accompanied by Secretary of Finance, Investment and Administration, Héctor Salgado Banda; and the General Legal Coordinator, María Raquel Barajas Monjarás.
