Cancun, QR. American Airlines announced its new Austin-Cozumel route for June this year. The airline operates from the islands of Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW), Charlotte (CLT), Philadelphia (PHL), Chicago (ORD) and Miami (MIA).
This new route will be launched on June 11 and will operate on Saturdays with an Embraer E175 airport, with a capacity for 76 passengers.
“We are excited to continue expanding our operations in the Mexican Caribbean with a new service, like our nearest new route between Austin and Cozumel, as well as our new destinations, which we recently inaugurated our destination number 28 in the country, Chetumal José” Giraldo, managing director of Operations Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
“Cozumel is a destination for Americans in Mexico, and with this new route we are organizing to follow our position as the state airline leads in the country, celebrating this year as well as decades of service,” he added.
Cabe mentions that December 1, 2021 will see the first American Airlines flight connecting to Chetumal with Miami. The aircraft has 64 assistants in tourist class and 12 in first class.
The new route operates from the entrances of the fairgrounds and Saturdays on an Embraer 175 airplane.
“American has a compromise of 80 years of service in Mexico and we have the strongest feelings about being able to close this 2021 inauguration of the Miami-Chetumal flight,” commented José María Giraldo.
Expectative
For the inauguration ceremony will take place with the presence of the governor of Quintana Roo, Carlos Manuel Joaquín González, who said that this pioneer in the capital of the state would benefit from the region surpassing and increasing its tourism offer.
