Alouettes acquires DL Moore from Elks for OL Washington, running back Jackson

The Montreal Alouettes announced Friday that they have acquired defensive lineman Michael Moore from the Edmonton Elks in exchange for offensive lineman Tony Washington and running back Martese Jackson.

A 6-foot-4, 269-pound native of Hyattsville, Maryland, Moore played 11 games in 2021 with the Elks and had 19 tackles and two sacks. The 28-year-old has 69 tackles, 17 sacks and a forced fumble in 48 career CFL games.

“Michael is a player we really like,” Alouettes general manager Danny Maciocia said in a statement. “He is capable of putting pressure on opposing attackers and will not back down against anyone. He will bring a lot of intensity to the field.”

Washington played three seasons with the Als, while Jackson joined the Alouettes for the 2021 season.
