All iPads will now be made from 100% recycled aluminum

The new iPad Mini 6 will feature a 100% recycled aluminum casing, a new environmental standard that the company will apply to its full line of iPad products.

Apple made the announcement at its product event on September 14, during the unveiling of the new iPad mini 6.

According to an infographic provided by the company, Apple uses 100% recycled tin in the solder used on the iPad Mini 6’s main logic board and 100% recycled rare earth elements in the magnets in the case of the tablet covers.

At the company’s 2021 spring event, Apple declared for the first time that its goal was to be 100% carbon neutral by 2030.
