The Rookie season 4 episode 22 release date and plot preview
The Rookie Season 4 Episode 22 will air on ABC at 10/9c on Sunday May 15, 2022.
After last time’s Mother’s Day special, the upcoming season finale is titled day in the hole and sees Nathan Fillion’s John Nolan pulled out of his comfort zone when he’s forced to spend a week in solitary confinement in a sleepy frontier town with a young local officer in need of training.
Elsewhere, Bradford and Chen discover that first impressions can be deceiving when the pair go undercover on a potential drug-trafficking case.

Meet the guest stars of episode 22
Alan Tudyk as Ellroy Basso
We begin our cast roundup with the return of a major star, Alan Tudyk, who reprises the role of Ellroy Basso, after appearing as the character in the 2019 Clean Cut episode.
The 51-year-old actor rose to fame after appearing on the cult sci-fi series. Firefly and after playing Steve the Pirate in the 2004 comedy Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.
Since then, Tudyk has become a regular on our screens, appearing in characters such as Resident Alien, Doom Patrol, The Tick, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and in a number of minor roles in Disney films Charm, Moana, Zootopia, Big Hero 6, Frozen and its 2019 sequel.
Sara Rue as Nell Forester
Sara Rue will be a familiar face for Rookie fans, as she appeared as the Nell Forester character in seasons 1 and 2 before leaving with Ellroy in the Clean Cut episode.
Since leaving The Rookie in 2019, Sara has appeared in a number of projects including b positive Y american housewife while other skins fans will be familiar with have arrived. A Series of Unfortunate Events, Bones, Impastor Y Less than perfect.
Peter Davidson as Pete Nolan
Another big returner in episode 22 is Peter Davidson, who takes on the role of John’s half-brother Pete.
The 28-year-old actor is best known for his appearances on saturday night live while other roles have entered The Freak Brothers, The King of Staten Island, Angry Birds: The Movie 2, The Dirt and even made a cameo appearance alongside Nathan Fillion in 2021 The Suicide Squad.

And finally, we get to a new face in the cast, Stephanie Arcila, whose character name hasn’t been revealed before the episode.
The Miami-born actress has almost 20 roles to her name with notable appearances. Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, the telenovela of telemundo Jenni Rivera: Barrio Butterfly, Don’t Breathe 2 as well as minor roles in NCIS Y Blackish.
