Several people were killed in an accident involving a tractor-trailer and a van on Highway 401 between Belleville and Trenton, Ontario, on Saturday night.

The Ontario Provincial Police have yet to confirm the death toll from the crash that occurred on Highway 401 between Aikins and Saint Hilaire streets on Saturday around 3:45 a.m.
According to CTV News Ottawathe driver of the transport truck was not injured.
The investigation, which is ongoing, has forced the closure of both westbound lanes of Highway 401.
