Accident in Sainte-Adèle: a teenager carried away by the current of the Rivière du Nord


Research was underway Thursday afternoon in Sainte-Adèle, in the Laurentians, to find a teenager who accidentally fell into the Rivière du Nord and was carried away by the current.

The dramatic event occurred around 12:30 p.m. According to our information, four friends were under the Rolland Street bridge, enjoying the lunch break from their nearby secondary school.

For a reason still unknown, the young victim who was on a rock would have lost his footing and would have found himself in the river.

His friends would have tried to help him, but without success.

The secondary 4 girl would have been washed away in the stream. Many police were dispatched to the scene to try to find her. In the middle of the afternoon, the Sûreté du Québec helicopter flew over the river to try to locate her.
