A tentative agreement for ambulance technicians

More than 3,000 paramedics represented by the Fédération de la santé et des services sociaux (FSSS-CSN) have reached an agreement in principle with Quebec for the renewal of their collective agreements.

“While thanking all of the negotiating teams for the work done over the past few months, I would like to salute the work done, day and night, by these front-line workers,” said Sonia LeBel, Minister Head of Government Administration and Chair of the Treasury Board.

An improvement in remuneration and working conditions is provided for in this agreement, as well as better accessibility to front-line services for the population.

“This is excellent news that will allow us to continue to improve front-line services, for the benefit of Quebecers. It is by promoting services upstream of emergencies that our work organization will be more efficient, as we have indicated in the Health Plan,” mentioned the Minister of Health and Social Services, Christian Dubé.

Details of the agreement will not be presented until it has been presented to union members.
