An 80-year-old woman faces charges in connection with a fatal accident in the city of Jordan. It led to the death of a pickup truck driver, according to the Niagara Regional Police (NRPS).
Investigators say the crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on Sept. 5, at the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Spring Creek Road.
The driver is believed to have been traveling down Spring Creek, crossed the intersection, and was hit by a pickup truck driven by a 50-year-old man.

The truck was subsequently struck by a tractor-trailer, operated by a 22-year-old man, traveling north on Victoria Avenue.
NRPS says the defendant was arrested Tuesday. The offenses involve three charges related to the operation of a vehicle while intoxicated, including criminal wrongful death.
There is a publication ban that prohibits the disclosure of the identity of the accused.
Investigators did not disclose the nature of the ban.
