41-year-old man killed after stabbing in Mississauga: police – Toronto | The Canadian News

A 41-year-old man has died after being stabbed to death at an apartment building in Mississauga, police said.

Peel Regional Police Art. Akhil Mooken said around 6:30 p.m., officers received reports of a knife stab in the Erin Mills Parkway and Fowler Drive area.

Mooken said when officers arrived on the scene, a victim was found suffering from apparent stab wounds.

He said “life-saving efforts were started immediately.”

Mooken said the victim was transported to a trauma center by Peel Paramedics.

He said this was where the 41-year-old man “tragically succumbed to the injuries”.

“Investigators from our murder and missing persons bureau conducted the investigation,” Mooken said.

According to police, the suspect fled the scene.

He said police do not currently have any suspects in custody.

Mooken said officers will inspect nearby apartment buildings and inspect the area for any surveillance material.
