A four-year-old boy died after an ATV accident in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec.
It happened shortly before 8 p.m. Friday on private property in the small town of Irlande, near Thetford Mines.

Provincial police spokeswoman Beatrice Dorsainville says an adult was driving the vehicle and the child was a passenger.
The boy was injured when the vehicle overturned for reasons that are not yet known.
The boy was taken to hospital in critical condition but died overnight.
The provincial police dispatched crash experts to gather information at the scene and the investigation of the incident continues.
