24 New COVID-19 Cases in Kingston Push Active Cases to 144 – Kingston | The Canadian News

The streak of double-digit case increases continues, as KFL & A Public Health records another 14 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday.

This brings the region to 144 active cases, numbers not seen since April 2021.

The age breakdown of cases continues to vary:

  • 18 to 29 (5)
  • 1930s (3)
  • 1940s (1)
  • 1960s (1)
  • 70s (1)
  • 80s (1)

The Kingston Health Unit also reports that three people are hospitalized, with two of them seeking ICU treatment.

The most active cases ever seen at a time in the region were 150 on April 13. With cases increasing daily, the region’s top doctor says it is more than possible that the record could be broken on Thursday.
