2022 NFL Draft Picks: Florida Gators Draft Tracking, Pick Analysis, History | OnlyGators.com: Florida Gators news, analysis, schedules and scores

It’s draft season! OnlyGators.com will be with you through all three days of the 2022 NFL Draft as we track and cover where a handful of former Florida Gators will start their pro careers. What is expected to be an unpredictable draft will play out with the NFL getting back on track in the offseason as they not only held an NFL Scouting Combine, but also saw tons of scouts at Team Pro Days on their respective campuses.

With a number of NFL teams that don’t have first-round picks and a top of the board that doesn’t include quarterbacks who make headlines like they do most years, anything can happen Thursday through Saturday.

OnlyGators.com will be here to provide constant updates throughout the three days of the draft. Hit the refresh button below or in your browser to refresh the page and see if additional Gators have been selected.

Height: 6’2” | Weight: 191 pounds

Age: 20 | Class: Junior

The Chop: Elam’s pick It’s been seven straight years since the Gators have seen a member of their secondary drafted. In that time, 11 such defensive backs were drafted overall. Elam is the fourth first-round pick in that group, joining CJ Henderson (No. 9, 2021), Vernon Hargreaves III (No. 11, 2016) and Keanu Neal (No. 17, 2016). He is also the first Gators player selected by the Bills since Vosean Joseph in 2019. Buffalo traded two picks to select Elam, ironically making a deal with the Baltimore Ravens, who drafted his uncle, Matt Elam, in 2013.
