OnePlus launches into the premium audio train with a new pair of wireless headphones that provide active noise cancellation, a new design, and better battery life.
The company also boasts superior sound quality and a custom sound experience that adjusts noise cancellation to block out different frequencies depending on where you are. This system uses three microphones, which should also lead to good call quality.
One Plus says that the earbdus also support Dolby Atmos and 11mm dynamic drivers, which are slightly smaller than last year’s OnePlus Buds (13.4mm), but larger than the 10mm option on the One Plus. OnePlus Buds Z. Both headphones sounded good to me, so I expect great things from the Buds Pro.
There is also Warp charging stand with OnePlus chargers that can power the buttons quickly. A 10 minute charge should last 10 hours.
The most exciting feature of these headphones is that they supposedly boast a 38 hour battery life with the included charging case. OnePlus doesn’t say how long each earbud lasts, but I’d expect it to be around 12 hours, since that’s a third of 38 hours. I’m not sure if this number reflects noise canceling battery life or not.
MobileSyrup It will be hands-on with the OnePlus Buds Pro later this summer for a full review.
The OnePlus Buds Pro will cost $ 149 USD or roughly $ 187 CAD, and it will launch on September 1. This still keeps them below the $ 200 CAD sweet spot, but still more than the Beats Studio Buds, which are the reigning headphone champion right now.
