A Molotov cocktail targeting a vocational school sparked a minor fire Sunday morning in front of a training establishment located in the small town of Mont-Royal.
At around 5:45 a.m. Sunday, the firefighters contacted the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) in connection with a Molotov cocktail targeting an establishment on Royalmount Avenue.
The targeted building houses the Aviron Technical Institute, a vocational training school.
The fire caused minor damage. The fire, quickly brought under control by the firefighters, did not spread inside the building. On site, debris of incendiary objects were found.
SPVM investigators are heading towards the scene to shed light on the event.
“There is no suspect in this case for the moment”, specifies Véronique Comtois, spokesperson for the SPVM.
