Microsoft’s Xbox Live service has crashed, causing problems logging into the service.
The company’s Xbox Support Twitter account (@XboxSupport) tweeted about the issues, noting that “users may not be able to sign in to Xbox Live.” Microsoft is investigating and will post updates to the Xbox Support Account and on the Xbox Status website.

According to Microsoft’s status site, the “major outage” was reported at 3:15 pm. The site explains that users may have trouble logging into their Xbox profile, may get disconnected while logging in, or encounter other issues.
The interruption appears to be global, with DownDetector.ca confirming problems affecting Canadians.
The edge notes that this is the first major Xbox Live outage since last year when the service experienced issues during the launch of Xbox Series X and Series S.
