Uber Eats finally launched on the Saanich Peninsula on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.
Victoria News reports that customers can order food for delivery or pickup through the service from North Sydney to Saanch, including an area west of John Dean Provincial Park.
This expansion comes after Uber Eats initially launched in Victoria in August 2018.
Last month, Uber Eats launched in several new cities in Ontario, Alberta, Quebec, and British Columbia. The new cities include Abbotsford, Nanaimo, Chilliwack, Kamloops, Kelowna, and Prince George in British Columbia.
The expansion also includes Fort McMurray, Alberta, along with Collingwood-Wasaga and Belleville in Ontario and Saguenay, Quebec.
Uber notes that with restrictions on dining at home amid the COVID-19 pandemic, delivery platforms may offer a new source of income for local restaurants.
Last year, the company launched a new ‘Eats Pass’ subscription that costs $ 9.99 per month. Membership offers users a $ 0 shipping fee and a five percent discount on every restaurant order over $ 15.
