Possible variant case at Antoine-de-St-Exupéry high school

Three cases of COVID-19 have been reported at Antoine-de-St-Exupéry high school in Montreal. Among these cases, public health has reported two cases of the suspected variant.

To limit the spread, parents of children who have been in close contact with an affected person are urged to keep their children at home and follow guidelines from public health authorities, the school administration said in a statement. Wednesday.

The student must remain in administrative segregation if they have received a positive test result, if they are awaiting a test result, if they have been in contact with a confirmed case, if they have returned trip or if a member of the family bubble has symptoms and is awaiting a test result.

The symptoms of a variant of COVID-19 are comparable to the usual forms of the disease, but the infection could be transmitted more easily from person to person.
