Apple Music and Podcast apps reportedly coming to Microsoft Store

Apple appears to be expanding its Apple Music and Podcasts apps, according to 9to5MacThese may hit the Microsoft Store in 2021 as they are apparently in beta testing right now.

“9to5Mac has learned that the company is working to bring music applications and podcasts to the Microsoft Store, which could be released to the public later this year,” reports Filipe Esposito.

The Apple TV app came to Xbox in November, so it might not be far-fetched to imagine Apple Music and Podcasts on the Microsoft Store.

“Sources told 9to5Mac that Apple has been testing Music and Podcasts applications for Microsoft platforms in a private beta,” the publication says.

At this time, it is unclear if these apps are intended to work with Windows PCs or if they are aimed at the Xbox. Apple has been expanding its TV app to more smart TVs and it’s only natural to expand Apple Music to more platforms. especially with the recent debut of the Apple One bundles that include family sharing.
