“After”: Karine Vanasse starring in a new drama series

Karine Vanasse will be the headliner ofAfter, a new drama series that will soon be offered on the ICI platform, Radio-Canada announced this Thursday, January 14.

The mini-series will consist of six 60-minute episodes, which are scheduled to begin filming next Monday.

Well named, After will dive into the heart of a small town in the Laurentians following a drama that will have consequences both for the main character played by Karine Vanasse, a grocery store manager and single mother, as well as for all the inhabitants of the region.

The series will therefore explore the physical, psychological and social consequences of this tragic event to which everyone will react differently, between reconstruction, collapse, flight and resilience.

In addition to Karine Vanasse, After will feature an impressive cast, bringing together the talents of David Boutin, Madeleine Péloquin, Martin-David Peters, Alexa-Jeanne Dubé, Anglesh Major, Kathleen Fortin, Steve Laplante, Marc Béland, Alexandre Goyette, Juliette Gariépy, Henri Chassé , Camille Vincent, Aurélia Arandi-Longpré, Robin L’Houmeau, Gaston Lepage, Anne-Renée Duhaime and Jeanne Roux-Côté.

The miniseries is produced by Duo Productions, from a screenplay by François Pagé, and directed by Louis Choquette, who was notably at the helm of the series The honorable, Mirador and Le Gentleman.

If all goes well, Après will be broadcast this spring on ICI Extra.
