This is what the Legault government ruled on Wednesday.

Opposition parties demanded relaxation of the rules enacted for the period of authorized rallies, between December 24 and 27.

As a rule, healthcare professionals are taken either Christmas or New Year’s leave.

Both the Liberal Party and Quebec solidaire were therefore asking for flexibility for health workers who were going to obtain leave outside the dates of the authorities’ meetings.

During the question period, the Minister for Health, Lionel Carmant, affirmed that the rules set by the public health authorities are not negotiable, because this could be dangerous for the population.
