  • FSIS issued a public health alert for Tee Yih Jia Food Manufacturing brand chicken and beef samosas.
  • The measure is due to the fact that the product had a bad label and one of its allergenic ingredients was not declared.
  • The manufacturer itself ordered a recall of its products.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a public health alert for Tee Yih Jia Food Manufacturing brand chicken and beef samosas.

The measure is due to the fact that the product had a bad labeling and one of its allergenic ingredients was not declared by the manufacturer, reported Kiro7.

FSIS reported in a press release that the products may contain milk, a known allergen, which is not listed on the labels, according to the press release.

The manufacturer itself ordered a recall of its products, even though FSIS said it will not request the recall until the FDA investigation is over.
