Another option for the Raptors

With the closure of the Canada-U.S. Border continuing, the Toronto Raptors are looking at all possible options for hosting their home games in 2020-21 and the Prudential Center in Newark is one of them.

According to what the daily said New York Daily News, the Queen City organization has spoken to officials at the home of the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League about the matter. Also, the NBA would be favorable to the idea because of the proximity of teams in the Atlantic section.

The same source indicated that the Toronto club had also had talks to examine the possibility of playing in Tampa or Nashville.

Over the past few days, the cities of Kansas City and Louisville have been raised as a possible temporary home for the Raptors. On the Buffalo side, New York State Senator Timothy Kennedy sent a letter to league commissioner Adam Silver and team president Masai Ujiri convincing them to use KeyBank Buffalo center for Raptors home games, according to Sportsnet.
