FC Bayern star striker: Former Lewandowski adviser arrested

Dhe police in Poland have arrested former advisor to star striker Robert Lewandowski, Cezary K. He is suspected of having the FC Bayern Munich player “Criminal threats” put under pressure to have to receive 20 million euros from him, said a spokesman for the prosecutor in Warsaw on Tuesday the German press agency. “His house is currently being searched.”

The 32-year-old Lewandowski is treated by the investigators as a victim in the matter. “The demands on him had no basis whatsoever resulting from the business relationships between the two,” the public prosecutor’s spokesman continued. A spokeswoman for Lewandowski referred to the dpa request that only the public prosecutor’s office could provide information on this matter.

In terms of sport, things are currently going very well for Lewandowski. A few weeks ago he was named Europe’s Footballer of the Year 2020. With FC Bayern, the striker won the Champions League in August, the Uefa Supercup and the German Supercup as well as the DFB Cup and the German championship. This season he has already scored ten goals in five Bundesliga games.

Attacker Thomas Müller meanwhile sings an ode to the “team player” Lewandowski. “He always wants. He wanted to score a lot of goals for a long time – and now he wants to score goals to win games with the team. You can’t praise this step highly enough, ”said Müller in an interview with DAZN.

In the meantime, Europe’s footballer of the year can “almost look forward to an assist”, added Müller (31) jokingly. Lewandowski (32) has “always brought in his goals and his quality. But what has been going on for a year is special again ”. This Tuesday, FC Bayern will be playing at Lokomotiv Moscow (6:55 p.m. in the FAZ live ticker for the Champions League and at DAZN).
