The Government will raise the salary of civil servants by 0.9% in the next Budgets

As Invertia announced, the Government will include in the next draft of the General State Budgets a rise in wages of public workers and civil servants. The rise will be in accordance with the forecast of the CPI, that is, 0.9%.

This is confirmed by sources from the Government of Pedro Sánchez. The Ministry of Public Function will transfer this rise to the unions in the meeting that the department directed by Carolina Darias will hold with the workers this same monday.

The rise is in the same proportion as the public pensions, for which a 0.9% rise is also expected.

The salary increase would be noted in the item destined to pay the salaries of public employees. It would have to increase by about 1,206 million euros, approximately and taking 2019 as a reference. Thus, spending on public salaries would be in the 135,269 million euros.

The rise will impact the accounts of all Public Administrations, since it will affect both the bodies of the Central Administration and the public workers that the autonomous communities and city councils have. That is, the workers of all public institutions.
