The CJ Cup will change address

The CJ Cup, which is usually held at the Nine Bridges Golf Club on Jeju Island in southern South Korea, will take place at a separate course.

Groupe CJ, responsible for organizing the tournament, made the announcement on Saturday. The Haesley Nine Bridges Club will be the new host for PGA golfers for the fifth edition of the event and beyond.

This means that participants will be around an hour by car from Seoul instead of being an hour by flight from the country’s capital.

“In three years, since 2017, more than 40,000 spectators have visited the installations [à l’île de Jeju] and boosted the local economy, said Group CJ sports marketing director Ethan Kim, whose comments were echoed by the PGA site. Next year, we will do everything to promote South Korea to the rest of the world in the metro area and continue to increase the importance of the CJ Cup. ”

Exceptionally this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the competition was held at the Shadow Creek Club in Las Vegas.
