2 elderly pedestrians hit in south Edmonton hit and run – Edmonton | The Canadian News

Edmonton police said Friday that two older pedestrians were struck by a vehicle that later left the scene.

The hit-and-run occurred near 50th Street and 101st Avenue.

Around 1 p.m., the police asked motorists to avoid the area.

Paramedics treated and transported the two pedestrians to hospital “with undisclosed injuries,” EPS said.

Alberta Health Services said people were hit by a car at a crosswalk around noon.

AHS said EMS took the couple to the hospital. The man, in his 70s, was in serious condition and the woman, in his 70s, was stable.
