A 14-year-old boy was sent to the hospital Monday afternoon after a stabbing in Plympton, NS

In a statement, the Nova Scotia Mounted Police said officers from Digby’s detachment responded to a report of a stabbing near a highway around 3 p.m.

“A preliminary investigation determined that there was an altercation between two young men who know each other,” he said.

The victim was sent to the hospital with serious but not fatal injuries.

A 17-year-old is scheduled to appear in Digby Juvenile Court on January 24, 2022 to face charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and issuing threats.
