109 New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Windsor-Essex

Windsor, Ontario –

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit reported 109 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday.

According to the website of the health unite, it is the first time that there have been more than 100 new cases in a single day since September 2, when there were 113 cases.

“We are concerned about the increase in cases, especially heading into the Christmas season,” said Health Unit Executive Director Nicole Dupuis.

The case rate in Windsor-Essex is 114 cases per 100,000 residents, the third highest in the province.
